Exhibition catalog from the 2026 solo exhibition at Saint John Arts Centre – the second printing was made possible with generous support from the New Brunswick Arts Board – so thank you!

“Incorrectly Perceived as Being Empty looks at the places we learn to pass over: back roads, vacant lots, roadside businesses, improvised structures, and the ordinary vernacular of rural New Brunswick. Made through years of driving and returning to the same landscape, the photographs treat these places not as empty or peripheral, but as sites already dense with use, memory, coincidence, and evidence of the people who have passed through them. What began as documentation gradually became something less certain: an accumulation of unstable evidence and an attempt to locate the self within a landscape that refuses to explain itself.”
